This 6-day, 5-night safari takes you to the very best stunning Tanzania national parks where you will be able to see vast numbers of wild animals and birds. This comprehensive tour takes you to the northern circuit visiting the magnificent Tarangire National Park, the world-famous Serengeti National Park, and the incredible Ngorongoro Crater.
The Serengeti is renowned for the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles cross the plains in search of fresh grazing. You'll have three full days in the Serengeti to maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, while Ngorongoro Crater offers the best chance to see the Big Five in one day.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive for a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park with packed lunch. Tarangire is known for its massive elephant herds (up to 300), ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, leopards, and over 550 bird species. After the game drive, drive back to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams.

Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park
Today you will be picked up early morning at 7:30 am after breakfast and with packed lunch. Drive to the Serengeti National Park, stopping at Naabi Hill for a picnic lunch. Proceed to the Serengeti for a game drive en-route to the lodge. The vast Serengeti plains cover an area of about 15,000 square kilometers. The Serengeti Kopjes, massive boulder islands of granite standing in a sea of grass, provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik-dik. Late evening drive back to the camp at Embalakai.

Days 3, 4 & 5: Serengeti National Park – Full Game Drives
Enjoy early breakfast, followed by full day game drives with picnic lunch. Serengeti is renowned for the vast animals and its beauty, including thousands of wildebeest and zebras that traverse the park year-round in search of greener pastures. The Serengeti has so much more to offer though with some of the biggest lion prides, huge herds of elephants, countless antelope such as Thompson's & Grant's gazelles, giraffes, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, and is even home to rhino. With so much to see, every day will bring new sightings and experiences. Optional hot air balloon safari available at extra cost.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Rise early for breakfast, then drive to Ngorongoro Crater before spending a full day exploring the crater floor. The area is world-renowned and very small in scale, so you will see other safari-goers, but don't let that distract you from the beauty of the place or from the fact that this remains one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Bull Elephant, African Buffalo, and Black Rhino. To maximize your time on the crater floor, you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot. Your journey will take you through this tremendous landscape that is constantly changing as animals move to and from in search of pasture, water, or prey. Then transfer back to Arusha.
